Emily Chan

Emily Chan is the Grants Associate at the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation, where she manages grants across all program areas and provides support to grantees and the board of directors.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Emily was a Senior Program Associate at The Boston Foundation and the Finance Associate at Central Carolina Community Foundation. At Central Carolina, Emily managed grants for all donor advised, designated, and nonprofit funds. Additionally, Emily has a background in music performance and administration. She is a trained jazz vocalist and previously worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she coordinated musical instruments to Elementary Instrumental programs districtwide. Emily has a degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys live music, creative hobbies like pottery, and exploring Chicago’s vibrant food scene.
