Who We AreStaff

Aracely Barajas

Aracely Barajas joins the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation as a summer intern through the CAFE Group's LEAD program, working alongside Senior Education Program Officer Joe Panganiban to explore the Foundation's Arts Learning program and Chicago's broader arts learning and culture sector.

A rising junior at Connecticut College, Aracely majors in Fine Arts and minors in Finance and English, while also completing the college's Entrepreneur Pathway. Born and raised in Chicago's La Villita (Little Village) neighborhood, she is a member of POSSE Scholars' 16th cohort at Conn and The Academy Group's 28th college cohort. On campus, she serves as a Fellow for the Holleran Center for Community Action and as Secretary of MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán), among many other roles.

When she's not at the Foundation, you can find Aracely enjoying a good meal, walking her German Shepherd, or singing her heart out in her room.
