Lloyd A. Fry Foundation welcomes new Board Chair Graham Grady

The Lloyd A. Fry Foundation will have a new Board Chair effective July 1, 2025. Graham Grady was first elected to the board in 2008 and has served as Treasurer since 2016. Graham has been a leader of the Foundation’s work in establishing the annual Diverse Trustee program which commenced in 2012 as well as the Foundation’s grantmaking in Community Violence Intervention which commenced in 2017.
Graham is a partner in the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He previously worked in municipal government in roles with the City of Chicago including Executive Director of the Private Industry Council, back in the days of the Job Training Partnership Act, with subsequent service as Acting Commissioner of Economic Development, Zoning Administrator, Commissioner of Buildings, Ex-Officio member of the Chicago Plan Commission, and CEO of the Chicago Housing Authority. Graham has served as a fiduciary on the boards of the American Bar Retirement Fund, Housing Authority Risk Retention Group (n/k/a HAI Group), and The Pepper Companies. Graham is civically active in Chicago and serves on the boards of several economic development and nonprofit organizations.
Graham was preceded in his role as Board Chair by Amina Dickerson (2023-2025), Lloyd A. Fry, III (Chip) (2016-2023), Scott McCue (1998-2016), and Ed Stephan (1981-1998).
